As my time on the Oasis winds down for now, I don’t have nearly as much to say… Running Hairspray went fairly well considering I didn’t really know the track (glad I knew the show)… Karaoke has been mixed all week, starting out slow, but the past two nights were excellent including the competition.

Why do plans always change when everything seems to be going so well? I’m still coming home next week, that hasn’t changed (yet?) but this next week won’t be as simple as I thought… The big change is that one of the Stage Staff had a family emergency back home and got leave to sign off, so we’re one guy short this week. … is finally vacation! I’m not even gonna go into the week cause you’ve heard it all before. Probably the only different thing is today I’m helping with the Splish Splash Cast Install, but even that’s not much special. Karaoke has been mixed all week, Superstar is tonight instead of earlier, I haven’t gotten off the ship cause I don’t care about half the ports right now (I’d just spend money…). I did do some more maintenance on Monday, but I’m just ready to be done with this ship for awhile…

Two more weeks from today and I’ll be signing off and waiting at the airport for quite a long time… By the 4th I’ll be home in South Jersey and then working on seeing as many friends as possible in just under two months. for now, I have two trips on the Oasis left for the moment and lots still to do. Tuesday went almost as planned… Love Songs Karaoke was a bit sparsely attended, but Superstar was pretty good!

So last Saturday I didn’t bother getting off the ship since I had to hang around making ice in the middle of the day. I spent some time online, made some calls, passenger drill as usual, then nothing much till Karaoke. This has been one of those weeks so far where life has it’s ups and downs… Tuesday was Jamaica, so not much to do during the day. I started my day helping to setup and watch the parade rehearsals for the new cast members, interesting, but nothing special. I went in to help out with some lighting maintenance in Studio B in the afternoon, then had Family Karaoke, which was a little slow.

Well that’s fun, I just wrote this whole blog and the computer erased it, so I’m gonna abbreviate… Friday, nothing interesting, the usual work… Saturday, All Crew Immigration at 5:30am, then just stayed up and got off the ship early. Shopping, internet, a few phone calls, back aboard… Passenger Drill, one last night of teaching Hairspray to Kent, a slow evening of Karaoke, then bed.
